Charlton Athletic Women are busy planning for next season. We have a number of vacancies and are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious and committed individuals to fill these positions
Charlton Athletic Women are one of the biggest names in women’s football, with a fantastic history. With successful seasons recently within the FA Women’s Premier League South Division and cup competitions, the club are now working towards the next tier of women’s football. 
Recently appointed as a FA Regional Talent Club, with brand new facilities shared with the men’s team at Sparrows Lane Training Ground, and a new kit agreement with Hummel in place, the club are developing and strengthening on and off the field to build for a successful 2017/18 campaign. 

COACHING POSITIONS WITHIN WOMEN'S SECTION

Role: First Team Coach 
As part of these plans to strengthen and grow, we are now looking for a First Team Coach to work alongside the First Team Manager, and be part of the clubs management team. There is a great passion and ambition to improve and take the club forward, and this is what the club are looking for in this individual. 
The key skills and experience that are required are as follows:
Essential
Qualified to UEFA B License level
Experience of girls and/or Women’s football 
FA First Aid/Safeguarding qualifications and current FA DBS check
Available for Sunday matches and weekday evening training sessions
Someone who is a confident coach, comfortable communicating and leading senior players 
Someone who is willing to bring new ideas and support the clubs vision 
Desirable
Playing/coaching experience within Women’s football
Experience of player and performance analysis

Role: Development (Reserve) Team Coach  
As part of these plans to strengthen and grow, the club are now looking for a Development Team Coach to work alongside the Development Team Manager. There is a great passion and ambition to improve and take the club forward, and this is what the club are looking for in this individual. 
The Reserve team currently compete in the FA Women’s Premier League South Reserve Division. 
The key skills and experience that are required are as follows:
Essential
Qualified to a minimum FA Level 2
Experience of coaching 
FA First Aid/Safeguarding qualifications and current FA DBS check
Available for Sunday matches and weekday training sessions
Someone who is a confident coach, comfortable communicating and leading training sessions 
Someone who is willing to bring new ideas and support the clubs vision 
Desirable
Coaching experience within girls/women’s football
A desire to work towards a UEFA B License

COACHING POSITIONS WITHIN THE REGIONAL TALENT CLUB (Junior Section)

Role: Regional Talent Club Technical Director 
Salary: Competitive
Location: Charlton Athletic Training Ground, New Eltham, SE9 2JR
Responsible to: Club Chairman
Purpose of post: To oversee the technical programme and delivery at the Girls Regional Talent Club (RTC)
Contract type: Seasonal (subject to being granted the FA RTC Licence)
Start Date: July, 2017
Responsible for:
Implementing a training programme in line with Long Term Player Development guidelines
Ensure high standards of coaching delivery across all 4 age groups 
Develop and overseeing a continuous professional development programme, to include a comprehensive mentoring       strategy, for coaches and support staff involved within the RTC. 
Ensuring the RTC adheres to the FA standards for safeguarding children
Monitoring and evaluating the player and coach performance of the RTC
Provide 1:1 performance reports for all players and staff

Key skills and experience required: Essential 
A Licence 
FA Youth Modules 1 & 2 (essential) - Module  3 (desirable)
Member of FA Licensed coaches club
Emergency Aid or BFAS Award 
Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
Current Enhanced FA CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Disclosure 
Experience of coaching young players & good communication skills 
An appreciation and experience of mentoring and developing coaches
Understanding of the FA Women’s and Girls  player pathway
An understanding and implications of Long Term Player Development
Experience of managing individuals and teams
Willingness to work weekday evenings and weekends
Ability to travel independently

Title: Regional Talent Club Coach 
Two fantastic part-time coaching opportunities have arisien to join our FA Girls Regional Talent team at U14 and U10 level.
These positions, coaching elite girl players, are integral to the player pathway of young players to give them the best foundation to play for our Women’s 1st team one day.
You will work closely with the RTC Technical Director to deliver coaching, phylosophy and a planned syllabus to your team. 
Applicants are required to have the following:
UEFA Level 2
FA Youth Modules 1 & 2 
Emergency Aid or BFAS
FA Safeguarding certificate
FA Licensed Coaches Club member
Current FA DBS check
Previous experience of coaching girls desirable but not essential

Start date: July 2017
Venue: Charlton Athletic Training Ground, New Eltham, SE9 2JR 
Salary: Competitive
Hours of work – Two evenings a week & Saturdays (U14) – Sundays (U10s)

POITIONS WITHIN MEDICAL & SUPPORT TEAM

Role: Women's Team Physiotherapist
Charlton Athletic Women’s F.C. has a great tradition of developing young exciting players.  It is our aim to play in the Women’s Super League in 2018 and we are looking to expand our team by appointing a physiotherapist to support our players. We are looking for a physiotherapist to join our dynamic team and assist with the management, treatment, rehabilitation and development of our women players.  

We are looking for a proactive individual, who offers ideas and opinions comfortably, who is up to date with current literature and seeks to progress and innovate. A individual to develop the department and educate our players on how to reduce the risk of injury, prepare for training and matches and recover like elite athletes. We require someone who is able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the physical needs of women footballer players and has experience of structuring and delivering rehabilitation programs relevant to the requirements of the sport and the various age groups.

A BSc degree in Physiotherapy, membership of the CSP and the HCPC is essential and you will need to demonstrate a record of professional development through other relevant accreditation, courses and qualifications. 

You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to not only interact with the staff, but more importantly with the players who vary in age. Knowledge of football is desirable but not essential, particularly if you bring experience from other high performance disciplines.

Role: Sports Scientist and S&C Coach
Charlton Athletic Women’s F.C. has a great tradition of developing young exciting players.  It is our aim to play in the Women’s Super League in 2018 and to that end we are looking to expand our team by appointing a sport scientist to support our players. We are looking for the perfect candidate to join our dynamic team and assist with the physical preparation, development and conditioning of our 1st team and reserve team.  

We are looking for a proactive individual, who offers ideas and opinions comfortably, who is up to date with current literature and seeks to progress and innovate. We want a person who can help to develop the department and educate our players on how to prepare for competition, condition and recover like elite athletes. We require someone who is able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the physical needs of women football players and has experience of structuring and delivering individual/squad based sessions relevant to the requirements of the sport and the various age groups.

A degree in Sports Science specialising in the physical preparation of elite athletes is required and you will need to demonstrate a record of professional development through other relevant accreditation, courses and qualifications. 

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to not only interact with the staff within the club, but more importantly with the players who vary in age.
Knowledge of football is desirable but not essential, particularly if you bring experience from other high performance disciplines.
