Charlton Athletic Women are delighted to announce the signing of defender Riva Casley. The former England-under 17 international previously played for Millwall Lionesses and joins Charlton Athletic Women as a free agent.

Casley spent a year at fellow FA Women’s Championship side Millwall, having joined from Oxford United, where she began her career.

The 20-year-old was part of the Oxford side that competed in the FA Women’s Super League 2, the predecessor of the Championship, in the two previous seasons before moving to South East London.

Casley is looking forward to playing with Charlton Athletic Women and testing herself next season. “I feel really positive after signing, said Casley.

“I know for a fact that I want to be playing 100% of the time, the whole way through the season. I don’t want any niggles, any injuries or anything that’s going to put me out of football for a long time like it has done the past couple of seasons. So hopefully it’s a positive season.

“We start pre-season next week and the couple of sessions I’ve already been involved with were really positive and have shown me a new light to football.”

Season tickets for the 2019/20 season are on sale here.
