Charlton Athletic Women face Sheffield United in their first away game of 2019 on Sunday and manager Riteesh Mishra is looking forward to the fixture.

“We’ve been ready to go for a few weeks and it has felt like a long time since our last fixture” said Mishra

“It’s been frustrating in a way how long we have had to wait for the game but we seem in a good place and squad spirit seems high”

The Addicks beat Sunday’s opponents 2-0 when they visited The Oakwood in October with goals from Amber Stobbs and Charley Clifford. Riteesh is looking for a similar result and believes the team bond well at away games.

“We are travelling up the day before which allows us an opportunity to spend a bit of time together as well so everyone is looking forward to it”

Tickets for the fixture are on sale from the Olympic Legacy Park on the day of the match.
