It was a packed first day at Browns Club in Portugal for the 1st team squad - for up to date news and photos follow us on Twitter @CAFCWomen
Following a delay with our flight we arrived late on Thursday evening and after everyone had found their rooms it was straight to bed.
It was up early on Friday morning for a 6.45am breakfast as our first training session on the grass was scheduled for 7.45am. Manager Stuart Weston and Assistant Manager Jeremy Parsons used the 90 minute session to concentrate on passing, possession and shooting.
We then had a break during which time the girls to their joy discovered they were sharing their training camp with the Wasps Men's Rugby Union team.
Later in the morning we then had a gym session taken by midfielder Katie Hardaker who focused on upper body and core strength.
This was followed by a 45 minute spin session also taken by Katie who is a qualified spin instructor. Stuart Weston, Jeremy Parsons and Physio Josh Hawksworth joined in too ......and are still suffering today (Saturday).
By that time everyone was well and truly ready for lunch!
Later in the afternoon we had our second grass training session of the day where Stuart and Jeremy concentrated on phases of play and team shape. Jeremy who is also our goalkeeper coach also took a session with goalkeepers Megen Lynch and Alex Baker.
The girls finished up the days training with a well deserved ice bath......although one or two were not too keen!
After dinner it wasn't too long until the team and management were heading to their rooms for a well deserved nights sleep.
Captain Katie Flack and Katie Hardaker however did find time to challenge the entire Wasps rugby teams to a game of table tennis.
