"I’m excited for Sunday, just like every other game so far, it’ll be strange but that’s football," said Nicol.

"We are expecting Millwall to be a fit and technical side so we have to be at our best all over the park."

Charlton head into the game in high spirits after a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United last weekend which saw them rise to third in the table and Leigh is settling in well to the side.

"I’ve absolutely loved Charlton so far. The girls are amazing and made me feel at home so quickly.

"The coaching staff are second to none, the whole setup is fantastic and I couldn’t have wished for a better setup to be involved in."

Millwall will be looking to fix results after losing 4-2 to the Addicks earlier in the season in the Continental Cup, and after a heavy defeat to league leaders Tottenham last weekend but Nicol believes the fantastic start for the Addicks will be enough to prepare for the game.

"I think the preparation put into each game has been the reason for a positive start. The coaching staff put a lot of time into making sure we are prepared for how each game will go.

"We have so much trust in them and each other, and that’s getting stronger every training session and point we get."

Fans can watch the fixture at the home of Dartford FC on Sunday, 2pm kick-off. Tickets are available on the day.
