Charlton Athletic Women will host Millwall at The Valley on Wednesday, as they look to close the gap on third place in this crucial derby game.

The Addicks haven't been on the best run of form, having lost their last two games, but are hoping for a turn in fortune when they face the Lionesses, having won the reverse fixture 8-0 last time out in October of last year. Captain Grace Coombs will be hoping her side can turn thing around.

"We haven't really been happy without performances but we've had a lot of time to reflect on that, a lot of training sessions, the mood actually has been really positive" said Coombs. "We're just hoping that that continues".

Millwall, on the other hand, are still rock bottom of the league having only won one game all season, coming in their previous game against London Bees in February. The side will have massively improved since the thrashing earlier in the season and will provide a tougher test.

The game will be played at The Valley and Coombs and the team are looking forward to the prospect of playing in Charlton's famous stadium.

"I think they're really excited, a lot of the girls haven't played there before, only a few of us have. So everyone loves playing at a big stadium, whether its home or away. So, it'll be new to a lot of players but I think that'll work in our favour as well."

The game will be played on Wednesday 13th March with a 7:45pm kick off at the Valley. Tickets are priced £6 for adults, £2 for concessions and are available here. Programmes are available for £3.
