Charlton Athletic Women will be looking to build on their good performance against Durham as they return to The Oakwood to take on London City Lionesses this Sunday (2pm).
The Addicks are winless in their last five competitive games, but will be looking to bounce back on Sunday following an impressive 1-1 draw against high-flying Durham. Riteesh Mishra’s side sit 10th in the FA Women’s Championship, but have two games in hand over the teams around them.
Charlton are two points behind London City and a win on Sunday could take the Addicks up to seventh in the table.
London City, meanwhile, travel to the Addicks on Sunday off the back of a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Continental Cup, but beat fourth-placed Leicester City 4-1 in the league just a few days prior.
Charley Clifford could become the club’s all-time appearance holder on Sunday. Clifford equalled the record last weekend with her 272nd appearance, and is set to overtake her former teammate and now First-Team Coach, Kim Dixson, on Sunday.
The game will be free for fans to watch on the FA Player, but supporters who wish to financially support the women’s team can do so by purchasing a match pass for Sunday’s game for £2.50 on Valley Pass, with all the revenue from the live stream going directly towards Charlton Athletic Women.
