Captain, Kim Dixson is the winner of PHSC plc player the month for October.
The central midfielder led her side to back-to-back victories over Watford and Nottingham Forest before slipping up at home to Coventry.

Amongst some typically inspirational, workman like performances she bagged another goal for the term - taking her tally to four in the league this season.

She spoke with great modesty after the much deserved 1-1 draw with Reading at home on Sunday:
“Personally, I don’t feel I have done that that well lately. I have definitely got more to give this season, so hopefully I can win more awards because I know I can play a lot better.”

“We have had some good results against Watford and did very well against Forest but it was very disappointing last week. It was a battling performance today and I think we battled really hard. I think next week we just need to concentrate on our basics and get back to how we know we can play.”

Charlton had controlled much of the game against Reading but did not score first, “It came to the time where we needed to score. After their goal it was a bit of wakeup call and we had to push on a bit, so we were happy to get it in the end. If we had lost it would have been very, very disappointing.”

In the coming month the skipper has set herself goals, “I would like to try and be as consistent as I can, think more as a captain and up my game a bit more. I think it’s just levelling it out a bit. We need to up it as a team, work hard as team - like we did it today. It could be a stepping stone. We have got a long way to go.”
