The Charlton women’s team have appointed Paul McDonagh first team coach, as the club makes a number of additions and changes to its coaching staff.
McDonagh, who coached the Addicks’ development side for a short time three years ago, will assist first team manager Jeremy Parsons and Michael Paye in the forthcoming FA Women’s Premier League season.

Charlton supporter McDonagh, a UEFA A Licence holder, had a short spell as manager at Maidstone United Ladies before taking up his new role and has worked extensively for Dartford FC, in both coaching and scouting capacities.

Meanwhile, highly rated coach Riteesh Mishra has been appointed as reserve team manager after former boss Warren Clarke moved into a position with the Charlton Athletic boys’ academy.

A former Nottingham Forest academy graduate, Mishra, who holds a UEFA B Licence, initially joined the club late last season and worked with the club’s under 16 team. Working alonside Mishra with the Reserves will be Sports Scientist Luke Brown who supported Warren Clarke last season.

Elsewhere, former Munster and London Wasps rugby player Padraig Horgan has also joined the club as strength and conditioning coach.

Horgan has extensive and varied experience at professional football clubs, having coached with some of the top sides in his native Ireland, including Cork City and Cobh Ramblers, as well as Scottish champions Glasgow City within women’s football.

Keep an eye on, as we will bring you full interviews with all three over the coming days.
