We have all toured many miles to watch our favourite player and watch our team but how far have you travelled?

Last weekend Charlton Athletic Women were proud to welcome super fan Johanna Wahl all the way from Frankfurt, Germany.

Johanna started following the career of Lily Agg when she joined Frankfurt and has been supporting the forward ever since. She now follows coverage of all Charlton Athletic Women’s games from abroad hoping to see a red win.

After supporting the Addicks all season, Johanna and her family booked tickets to come over to England and watch the South-London Derby against Millwall Lionesses. The match was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday but the game was moved to this Wednesday so it could take place on the hallowed turf at The Valley.

Unfortunately, Johanna flies back on Tuesday so won’t be able to make the fixture but we couldn’t let her leave without experiencing a Sunday with the Addicks. So Johanna came down to watch the Addicks in training for The Valley clash.

“When I heard that Johanna was coming over to the UK I wanted to thank her for her support” said Lily Agg.  “I spoke to my teammates and the manager about the Millwall game being moved and they all wanted to meet Johanna and invite her to watch a training session.

“With the women’s game growing we appreciate all support from the UK and aboard, and anyone who travels from Germany to watch us is a huge friend of ours”

Johanna was pleased to meet the team saying “It was an awesome and an unforgettable experience

“The team and the staff were so friendly. It was the best day of my life and time was over too fast. Best of luck, joy and success to the season”

The Addicks face Millwall at The Valley tomorrow (March 13th) at 7:45pm. Tickets are on sale now and fans are adviced to purchase in advance to avoid queues on the day.
