PHSC plc Player of the Match Courteney Gibson and Emma Beckett both netted hat-tricks as the Addicks out-paced the Panthers

On a bitterly cold afternoon at Bayliss Avenue, Technical Director Paul Mortimer gave midfielders Elizabeta Ejupi and Mia Seller their first senior starts.

The Addicks opened the scoring after 10 minutes when Courteney Gibson latched on to an Emma Beckett through ball to fire home her first senior goal.

Mia Sellar then threaded a ball through to Ellie Stenning but the striker fired straight at Panthers keeper Mary Dawson.

Dawson was soon in action again tipping away a powerful goalbound volley from Beckett.

With 28 minutes gone the Addicks increased their lead when Stenning was brought down by keeper Dawson and Beckett fired home from the penalty spot.

Just three minutes later Beckett added her second as Fliss Gibbons sent a ball over the Panthers defence which she ran onto and lobbed over the advancing keeper.

A great run and cross by Gibson almost brough further reward but good defending at the near post denied Stenning.

Three minutes before half-time Fliss Gibbons, playing at left back, made a superb overlapping run and crossed for Beckett to head home for her hat-trick.

The Addicks were quick out of the blocks in the second half netting in the first minute as Liz Ejupi crossed for Gibson to shoot on the turn.

Defender Harley Bennett then hit the cross bar before another powerful volley from Beckett brought another good save from keeper Dawson.

Stenning eventually got on the scoresheet after 56 minutes latching onto a through ball from Beckett and firing a low effort home.

Three minutes later a cross from Ejupi was cleared to the edge of the area where Charley Clifford controlled the ball and fired low into the bottom corner for goal number seven.

On 84 minutes Gibson completed a fine performance to make a cutting run through the Panthers defence and claim her first senior hat-trick.

With just two minutes remaining Clifford added her second with a powerful strike from the edge of the area which Dawson got a hand to but could not prevent crossing the line.

Charlton Line Up:- Lynch, Chandler, Bennett, Butler, Gibbons, Sellar, Clifford, Ejupi, Gibson, Beckett, Stenning
