The Development team notched up their first win of the season in style down in Tunbridge Wells on Sunday
A determined Rusthall made this a hard fought game despite the final score, where it took 20 minutes of midfield battling before Charlie Spice started her pre tweeted journey back to five spice status.

With Sophia Amanor causing problems for opposition on right wing, crossing became a common line of attack for charlton and subsequently gave Sophia the player of the match vote from Rusthall.

Rusthall`s determination and hard challenges continued to frustrate the charlton midfield, and going in at half time after two more goals from Charlie, captain Tori agreed that we would utilise the space on the wings more in the second half.

The second half saw the development team dominate  possession throughout the half and dispute a goal from Rusthall on the 50th minute, the Spice goals continued to rack up.

As the game progressed the Charlton back four started to push forward and both Katie Cowcher and Tyra Poole started to make runs with the ball and adding to the attacking element of the team.

With the score at 0:5 Hannah Chapman in goal had very little to do until a dubious goal was given as Rusthall’s shot hit the crossbar and was adjudged to have cross the line, when it clearly had not.

At 2:6 it seemed that Charlie was going to be the only name on the score sheet until Sophia made it 2:7 with a great run and shot just out of the opposing keeper’s finger tips.

Tean: Chapman, Poole, Russell, Cowcher, De Waal, Amanor, Yuksel, Campbell, Brown-Araque, Richards, Spice
