The Charlton Women`s team claimed an emphatic win at Chichester on Wednesday evening to go back to the top of the FA Women`s Premier League Southern Division
Playing their second game in four days Head Coach Riteesh Mishra made just one change to the team who overwhelmed QPR on Sunday, with Charley Clifford replacing Kim Dixson.
With more heavy rain this week the game was in doubt right up till the 3pm pitch inspection but sterling work on the pitch by Chichester officials did the trick.
Nicole Pepper doesn`t score many but after 7 minutes swung a corner just under the crossbar which keeper Sadie Blakley could only help over the line to give the Addicks the early lead they wanted.
Just after a quarter of an hour keeper Blakley slipped and Kit Graham won possession before pulling the ball back for Charley Clifford to fire home.
On 26 minutes Clifford claimed her second after a powerful run from deep to fire into the far corner.
Just two minutes later it was four with a clinical finish from Georgia Griffin after some neat passing in the penalty area.
On the hour mark a superb reverse pass from Graham set up Charlotte Gurr to calmly slot the ball past the keeper.
With 63 minutes on the clock Graham got on the scoresheet herself with a powerful drive from the edge of the area that flew into the bottom corner.
