Charlton U13s completed the first part of a possible treble as they won the Capital Girls U13 League Cup Final at Northwood FC on Saturday morning
Playing on the big Northwood FC pitch slightly reduced in length and width the young Addicks made a tremendous start with Tayla giving them the lead in the first minute.

After 10 minutes Ruislip hit back netting the equaliser.

However Charlton soon regained the lead as striker Kaylie fired home. Millie was having a great game in midfield and Charlton gained the upper hand.

Good work between the two strikers then saw Tayla extend the Addicks lead as she calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.

Ruislip then won a free-kick which goalkeeper Megan did well to save before bravely smothering the loose ball.

Just before half-time Kaylie added Charlton`s fourth powerfully shooting home to make the score 4-1.

An early second half shot from Millie was then pushed round the post by the Ruislip keeper.

A surging run from Kaylie then saw the Charlton striker shoot narrowly wide before an effort from Millie fizzled over the bar.

Ruislip began to work their way back into the game and apply some pressure which Alice, on her return from long term injury, and Megan did well to contain.

Ruislips efforts were then rewarded as they pulled a goal back and spurred on by this they pushed forward in search of a third goal.

In the final minute it was left to Player of the Match Tayla to nip inbetween a defender and the keeper to claim her hat-trick and Charlton`s fifth goal.

Well done to the team and coach Megen.
Also a big thanks to Mark Laverick and Richard Ankah for their help with the team on the day and also to all the girls parents, families and friends for their noisy support from the stand.

Big thanks to Ruislip Rangers also for making it such a great cup final. We always have exciting games against you.

One in the bag ....two more to play for .....Come On You Reds
