Charlie Spice netted a hat-trick as the young Addicks Development team were comfortable winners against Faversham on Sunday at Greenwich University.
Charlton once again  started with a 4-4-2 formation, just 3 minutes into the game Amanor put Charlton ahead with a well driven shot, low to the keepers right.  Five minutes after Charlton went 1-0 up, they doubled their lead with a well taken goal from Spice assisted by Brown- Araque.  Faversham who had not troubled Charlton so far, still looked shaky at the back whenever Charlton regained possession and began an attack.

An attack developed from the right hand side with Gurney finding Spice in the box who controlled the ball well and put the ball into the back of the net giving Charlton a 3-0 lead.  At this point of the game Charlton are dominating the game and everything that is happening in it.

Charlton`s back four were solid, passing the ball well across the back line and still doing their defensive duties properly, agitating the Faversham attacking players.

SECOND HALF

No substitutions made at the start by either side as both teams were short of players.  A tactical change from the manager saw Brown-Araque switch with Gurney from left to right wing.  Within 3 minutes of the second half, Spice saw some space and passed the ball to the Brown-Araque who drove it to the edge of the box, lobbed the keeper and the ball found the top left hand corner which put Charlton upto 4-0.

Poole and Richards were dictating the ball, and the tempo of the game as Charlton were dominating possession  throughout the squad.  Due to the great play from attack to defence, Chapman was not troubled as Faversham were hardly in Charlton`s half.  Chapman was looking confident and composed in front of her goal.  Charlton`s defence were once again not troubled throughout the second half, keeping the ball very well and switching the ball when necessary.

A few minutes to go before end of match, Spice scored and got a hat trick putting Charlton 5-0 up.

Charlton: Chapman. Collins, Gilham-Law, Russell, Rose, Poole, Richards, Gurney, Brown-Araque, Spice, Amanor
