Our U16`s & U14`s both progressed to the Capital Girls League Cup semi-finals whilst our U12`s & U10`s were desperately unlucky to miss out
We won our first group game v Kinja 4-0 with the pick of the goals coming from Tyra Ntege.
Our second game saw us defeat Hampstead 5-0 to go through to the semi-final as group winners.
A good performance as due to a Kent FA Schools match and injuries we only have 11 players plus a goalkeeper as sub.
Tottenham & Ruislip Rangers qualified from the other group but at the current time we are not sure who won the group so do not know the semi-final draw.
The semi-finals will take place in February.
In a very evenly matched group it all came down to goal difference and we qualified along with LOASS, Hampstead and Tottenham. Again we are not sure of the semi-final draw.
As special mention to our stand-in keeper Lucy Kerr who did a great job in Amelias absence.
We won our first two matches 2-0 and it all came down to our final match against Ruislip who had also won both their games. In a nail biting end to end matches we were very unlucky to lose 1-0 and therefore not qualify for the semi-finals.
We drew all three of our games 0-0 and our performances got better match by match. Unfortunately due to the pouring rain the matches got cut short and we did not qualify. We went on to win a friendly and went home undefeated.
Our progress in recent weeks is highlighted by the fact that TFA won the tournament & we drew with them in our group match.
To all the parents, families and friends who braved the pouring rain to cheer the girls on . . . hope you`ve dried out & warmed up!!
