The U17`s & U15`s were both 3-1 winners in their friendly matches on Saturday
Charlton Under 17`s 3  Bedford 1

The first half saw us play some really good football, especially when we got the ball out wide. The midfield worked well and the back four were solid and comfortable. Rosie Paye was in fine form at the heart of the defence and was constantly looking to play the ball out and start up attacks. We kept possession well and opened the scoring after 12 minutes when Kylie Manktelow lobbed the goalkeeper.

With 22 minutes on the clock Gemma Hyland found the back of the net with a shot from the edge of the area and five minutes later Kylie added her second when she chipped the keeper.

In the second half we failed to maintain the tempo, giving away possession and our passing lacked accuracy. On the hour Bedford got the goal their second half performance deserved.

Charlton:- Courtney Shanly, Holly Learmouth, Rosie Paye, Chloe Shields, Bonnie Long, Megan Mansfield, Lauren Crawley, Gemma Hyland, Charlotte Wakefield, Megan Mulholland, Kylie Manktelow, Issy Hunter, Sophie Davis.

Long Lane 1 Charlton Under 15`s 3

A good all round team performance saw Charlton fight back from a goal down at half-time with three second half goals to claim a deserved victory.

Beth Rodger netted the first Addicks goal when she was on hand to slot home the ball after the Long Lane keeper had parried a shot from Benny Pambani.

Beth returned the favour shortly after when her shot was parried by the keeper for Benny to find the back of the net.

Charlton sealed their victory when a ball over the home defence from Amber Stokes picked out Evie Rose who chipped the goalie.
