Three-sy does it as a brace from Gemma Bryan and a 35 yard strike from Kim Dixson topples league leaders Keynsham Town
With four players unavailable - Becky Duggan (injured), Pam McRoberts (Suspended), Francesca Ali (ill) and Stef Simmons (personal commitments) Technical Director Paul Mortimer had to shuffle his starting line-up. Ellie Bailes returned to the midfield following a knee injury, Toni Alden came in at left-back and Jenny Newman started on the right flank.

On an uneven surface the homeside created the first chance as Naomi Clipston set up new signing Kerry Bartlett who curled her effort wide of the goal.

The Addicks then began to settle and from a Katie Flack throw in Gemma Bryan sent a shot on the turn dipping over the Keynsham crossbar.

On 13 minutes Keynsham keeper Amber Thornell scuffed her goal-kick and Gemma Bryan pounced to power past a defender and fire home a low shot to give Charlton the lead.

Keynsham hit back and following a Megan Chandler foul Kayleigh Sage connected with the free-kick which Addicks custodian Megen Lynch comfortably saved.

Charlton began to dominate the game and Bryan latched onto a Dixson through ball only to fire wide.  

Bryan`s powerful runs were a constant headache to the home defence and another of her efforts was foiled as Thornell saved with her feet.

A superbly flighted free-kick from Grace Coombs, who had an outstanding game at the heart of the defence, picked out Bryan who set up Dixson, the midfielder firing narrowly wide.

Dixson, challenging the keeper at the near post, then almost got on the end of a teasing right-wing cross from Jenny Newman.

For all their possession Charlton were nearly caught out as a ball over the defence found Kerry Bartlett who lobbed her effort wide.

The final action of the half saw Bryan`s shot on the turn deflected wide and from the resulting corner Ellie Bailes shot over the bar from the edge of the area.

The Addicks continued to pile on the pressure after the break and after 56 minutes Bryan nodded the ball on for Dixson whose spectacular 35 yard strike gave keeper Thornell no chance.

A fine over-lapping run from Katie Flack saw the full-back set up Dixson who shot wide before Charley Clifford fired a free-kick straight at Thornell.

Bryan then cut through the heart of the home defence only to lift her shot over the bar.

On 79 minutes Dixson deftly flicked Lynch`s goal-kick into the path of Bryan (in photo) and the striker rounded the keeper to fire home her 13th league goal of the season and seal an emphatic victory for the Addicks.

The final minutes of the game saw 19 year-old defender Claire Goldsmith come on to make her 1st team debut.
