Goals from Katie Flack, Kit Graham and Charley Clifford saw the Addicks to a comfortable victory over "Kent`s best team" at Sporting Club Thamesmead on Sunday afternoon
In their third game in eight days, Charlton made just one change with Megan Mulholland coming in at left-back and Stef Simmons moving ito a more attacking role.

A good crowd of 125 saw Simmons force Gills custodian and former Charlton youth team player Courtney Shanley to claim an early cross.

As the teams settled, indecision in defence from Mulholland allowed Louise Lorton in for a shot which didn`t trouble Megen Lynch in the Addicks goal.

The Addicks then started to get into their stride and control the game. Shanley did well to save an effort from Simmons at point blank range.

Kit Graham then hit the underside of the crossbar with a powerful strike with Shanley well beaten.

Graham then fired in another effort from the edge of the area which Shanley comfortably saved before setting up Sam Pittuck who shot straight at the keeper.

Charlton then forced a corner from which Katie Flack sent the ball wide before midfielder Charley Clifford sent a 25 yard strike dipping over the crossbar.

The Addick dominance was finally awarded after 35 minutes when skipper Flack tucked home a well flighted Grace Coombs free-kick at the far post.

Shortly after, Pittuck could have made it two but just could not direct Simmons cross.

Gillingham`s first real pressure saw Nikita Whinett shoot well wide before a shot on the turn from the edge of the area from Ashlee Hincks brought a good save from Lynch.

A teasing 25 yard lob from Graham then dipped over the Gillingham goal.

Deep into first half injury time Amy Howlett threaded the ball through to Graham who dummied a defender before rifling the ball home from the edge of the area for the Addicks second.

A mistake by centre-back Grace Coombs early in the second-half saw Whinett fire in an effort which Lynch tipped wide.

Olivia Cole then saw her shot drift wide as Charlton continued to dominate.

A fine run from Pittuck saw the midfielder cut through the visitors defence only to fire over the target.

The Addicks pressure finally paid off after 75 minutes as Charley Clifford won possession, beat a defender and clinically fired home.

Sixteen year old Daisy Monaghan then came on for the final 15 minutes to make her 1st team league debut.

The final action of the game saw Gills again ride their luck as another powerful long ranger from Graham crashed off the crossbar with the keeper well beaten.

Charlton: Lynch, Southgate (Paye 51mins), Mulholland, Coonbs, Flack, Howlett, Clifford, Pittuck, Simmons (Monaghan 78mins), Graham, Cole (Hardaker 55mins)
