Congratulations to our U16s and coaches Kim Dixson & Jeremy Parsons who have clinched the Capital Girls League runners-up spot
Due to QPR men`s team being in the Play-off finals at Wembley on the Saturday our final Capital Girls League game of the season was switched to Sunday and also played at our home ground of Coldharbour Sports Centre as QPR`s ground was not available.

With both teams level on points there was everything to play for to clinch the runners-up spot behind champions Reading.

The match was also the last game at Under 16 level for eight of the players - Daisy, Saliha, Kiera, Charlie, Leisha, Ellie-Mae, Ti-Ya and Kimberlee - so the girls wanted to finish in style.

It was the Addicks who opened the scoring in the 1st half as striker Chloe Stewart-Wilkin lobbed the Rangers keeper.

However QPR hit back after the break and levelled the scores.

Neither side could then break the deadlock and as the game entered it`s closing stages it looked like matters would be decided on goal difference.

Then in the final minute of the game striker Charlie Spice fired home the all important winner, her final kick in Junior football, before being mobbed by her team mates.
