The Women Addicks moved to the summit of the FA Women`s Premier League Southern Division with their second 2-1 victory over QPR in eight days
In windy conditions at Uxbridge FC Charlton netted early goals from Amy Howlett and Kit Graham but when R`s striker Emma Whitter pulled a goal back after 80 minutes it lead for a nail biting last ten minutes.

The Addicks opened the scoring after just 4 minutes when winger Amy Howlett cut in from the left flank and sent a spectacular 30 yard effort into the top far corner of the goal.

Shortly after Kit Graham broke through the home defence and forced a fine point blank save from Rangers keeper Sophie Cheadle.

Charlton continued to press and from a Charley Clifford free-kick were denied a penalty following a blatant handball in the area.

Striker Jenny Newman then set up Kim Dixson but the skippers powerful goalbound effort cannoned off a defender.

On 22 minutes Graham dispossessed a defender and then went on to beat a couple more defenders before squeezing her shot between the keeper and the near post to extend the visitors lead.

With the wind increasing Charlton had a lot of early pressure in the second half and really should have put the game to bed.

A great cross from defender Katie Flack picked out Dixson but her shot on the turn flew well over the target.

Whitter broke through the Addicks defence but keeper Alex Baker was alert to the danger shutting her down and making a good save.

Rangers pushed forward and Charlton PHSC Player of the Match Sam Pittuck cleared a dangerous cross for a corner.
From the resulting flag kick Baker claimed the ball well in the blustery conditions.

With 80 minutes gone a long ball over the Charlton defence was chased by Whitter who slotted the ball past Baker to put the home side back in the game.

Rangers pushed for the equaliser and the Addicks were relieved when a forwards header flew inches over the bar in the dying minutes of the game.

This win puts Charlton top of the FA Women`s Premier League on goal difference over Brighton who they play at the AmEx Stadium next Sunday 6th December - ko 3pm
