Congratulations to the Development Team and coach Gabin Sinclair who are SE Counties League Division 1 runners-up 2015/16
The Development team have had to wait since the end of February to play their final league game of the season and clinched runners-up spot in style by beating league champions Cray Valley at Coldharbour Sports Centre.

The Addicks had the better of the first half but the game remained 0-0 at the break so there was all to play for in the second half.

After 54 minutes Charlton took the lead as Emily Ashcrofts shot cannoned off the post and the 16 year old striker fired home the rebound.

The Addicks lead however was short lived as two minutes later Jodie Gailer headed home to level the score.

Just after the hour Ashcroft restored Charlton lead with a great free-kick from 20 yards which flew into the top corner.

With both teams tiring in the later stages the game began stretched as Cray looked to equalise and the Addicks to seal the points.

With six minutes remaining leading scorer Ashcroft was denied her first senior hat-trick when Claire Jenner topped her angled drive over.

In a nail biting last few minutes the young Addicks team hung on to clinch runners-up spot and inflict Crays first league defeat of the season.

Team: Hawkins, Jeffkins, O.Baxter, E.Bailey, Kerr, Cowcher, Lovell, De Waal, Francis, Spice & Ashcroft.
