Goals from Sam Pittuck and Charley Clifford sealed the Addicks place in 4th Round of FA Women`s Cup and set-up a home tie against Super League side Reading.
With leading scorer Kit Graham ruled out through suspension Manager Stuart Weston pushed midfielder Charley Clifford into attack and started defender Katie Flack in an unfamiliar left midfield role.
The Addicks started strongly and Clifford came within inches of connecting with skipper Kim Dixsons cross which was gratefully claimed by Wolves keeper Natalie Hall.
Fellow striker Gemma Shepherd then set up Clifford who fired narrowly over the crossbar.
Clifford turned provider sending over a corner from which Shepherd saw her header cleared off the line.
Shepherd forced keeper Hall to make an excellent save tipping her powerful strike past the upright.
Dixson went close twice with efforts from the edge of the area that flew inches over the crossbar.
Wolves hit back and enjoyed a spell of pressure forcing a couple of corners but with no reward.
In the final minute of the half the Addicks pressure was finally rewarded as Sam Pittuck outpaced her marker, forcing another fine save from Hall before firing home the rebound to open the scoring.
It took Charlton just two minutes of the second half to double their lead when good play from Rosie Paye and Katie Flack set up Clifford who turned neatly before firing into the bottom far corner.
Wolves set up a counter attack, winning a corner from which striker Jennifer Kikomeko headed well wide.
Pittuck broke clear but was foiled with a great tackle from a defender as she was about to shoot.
Shepherd almost added a third with a dipping 20 yard strike that went narrowly over the goal.
Wolves won a free-kick and sent a high ball into the area which was well claimed by Addicks keeper Megen Lynch.
Good play between Pittuck and Shepherd put the Wolves defence under pressure with the former shooting wide of the empty goal.
An excellent run from deep from Stef Simmons saw the winger send a long range strike fizzling over the bar in the final action of the game.
