Congratulations to U14s & coach Grace Coombs who won the Capital Girls U14 Cup on Sunday at North Greenford FC
On a hot and sunny afternoon at North Greenford FC the Capital Girls U14 Cup final was contested by Charlton & QPR teams who have been unbeaten in winning their leagues this season . . . . so someone`s record had to go!

Whilst Charlton had the greater part of the possession in the first half both teams carved out good chances but were just unable to apply the finishing touch. Thalia was commanding at the heart of the Addicks defence whilst Eleanor and the QPR keeper both made good saves. The score remained 0-0 at the break.

In the 2nd half Charlton continued to control much of the play and the break through came after 49 minutes when Logan glanced home Grace`s corner.

The Addicks had chances to extend their lead but were denied by the QPR keeper who was voted Player of the Match.

QPR pushed forward in the final few minutes in search of the equaliser but Charlton hung on to lift the cup and complete the double.

The team now have their sights set on repeating last seasons treble when they play in the League Cup final in a couple of weeks.
