The U14`s gave it there all in an great cup final against a strong Tottenham team who on the day were worthy winners
On a superb playing surface at Northwood FC the Addicks held there own against Tottenham for the opening 25 minutes.

The teams took time to settle on the big pitch with full size goals and much of the early play was in midfield.

Tottenham created the first chance as striker Charlotte Priest broke through the Addicks defence but was foiled by a brave smothering save from keeper Amelia Houghton-Boyle.

A low shot from Olivia Weston was then well saved by Tottenham keeper Chenay Hussey before Lucy Kerr came within inches of opening the scoring as her right-wing cross hit the crossbar.

Priest then sent another effort over the crossbar before the North Londoners opened the scoring after 27 minutes with a low shot from Courtney Parsons which nestled in the bottom corner of the goal.

Five minutes later Parsons added a second as she cut through the heart of the Addicks defence to fire home.

Tottenham were now full of confidence and just two minutes later Parsons won possession and clinically completed her hat-trick.

Early in the second half Tottenhams Hannah Grafton saw her 25 yard strike hit the crossbar before Charlton hit back with Kerr firing in a low shot which the keeper held.

Addicks custodian Haughton-Boyle then made an excellent save from Tegan Burling.

A strong break from Cansu Kilinc won the Addicks a corner but the flag kick was wasted.

With four minutes remaining Tottenham added a fourth goal as a ball was cut back from the by-line for Seren Ahmet to finish from close range.

The final action of the game saw Houghton-Boyle make another important stop with her foot and Ahmet fired over from the rebound.
