The Under 16`s suffered their first league defeat of the season against a strong Reading team on Saturday
Charlton U16 0 Reading 3
Although the Addicks had much of the early play it was the visitors who took the lead when striker Laura Palfrey was left unmarked to fire home from 6 yards.
A poor goalkick from the Reading keeper the saw Chloe Brown win possession but her shot hit the keepers legs before Lauren Parsons fired the rebound wide of the target.
Charlton were then guilty of giving away possession in defence and Palfrey punced to clinically bury the ball in the far corner of the goal.
The final action of the half saw Charlie Spice, who was making her league debut, forced a low save from the Reading keeper.
The Addicks best chance in the second half came when Chloe Brown broke through the visitors defence and shot narrowly wide.
Late in the game a strong run and shot from player of the match Palfrey saw her complete her hat-trick and seal the points for the visitors.
