Bradford City are looking forward to taking on Charlton Athletic on Sunday in the F.A.Women's Cup Third Round.
The Northern Combination side are excited about the prospect of playing a team currently lying third in the National Division. A very positive and ambitious club, the team hope to play at their best on the day and the tie gives them an opportunity to see how they match up to the standard of the higher divisions.
Bradford club captain Melanie Garside-Wight told Women's Soccer Scene: "It's a massive game for the club and everyone involved. It's probably the club's biggest match for fourteen years and hopefully we can go down there and put on a show. "Obviously Charlton are the favourites but there is no reason why we can't cause a shock and come away with a win and put ourselves into the next round. We are both third in our respective leagues so both teams should be full of confidence, but we are not going to make up the numbers and who knows - it's the FA Cup and anything can happen." |
