Charlton Athletic Women can confirm the signing of former Millwall Lionesses midfielder Beth Lumsden for the 2020/21 season

Lumsden joins the Addicks as manager Riteesh Mishra’s third new addition of the summer, having taken a year out of Championship football last season.

The 21-year-old spent the 2018/19 season with Charlton’s south east London rivals, her first season in senior football having joined the Lionesses from Chelsea. The Watford-born central midfielder started her career at Arsenal.

Lumsden said she was pleased to have signed for Charlton, and could not wait to get started. “I am so excited to get the season underway,” she said after joining the club.

“It is a privilege to wear the badge, I can’t wait for the season to start and to be involved in such an ambitious club.

“Having bundles of experienced players around me is great for me. I have learnt so much in the short space of time since signing and I cannot wait to keep learning from the great players around me.”

Lumsden joins Lewes duo Ella Powell and Jess King as new arrivals at The Oakwood ahead of the new campaign.
