The fourth club the Addicks will face in their forthcoming season in the Championship will be Crystal Palace FC (Women). Below is key information for supporters to know about the club before this season begins.
Crystal Palace FC (Women) were originally formed 27 years ago in 1992. The club have made significant progress over the past 10 years rising up the divisions gaining promotion to the FA Women’s Championship at the start of the 2018/19 season. At the start of this season the club re-branding with further incorporation with the main men’s side, dropping the word Ladies from their name.
The current manager of the club is Dean Davenport, who has been with the club in various roles for over 15 years after his daughter initially trialled for the club.
The Eagles' ground is Hayes Lane in Bromley with a capacity of 5,000.
Where did they finish last year?
Palace finished in tenth place last year, gaining 11 points with just three wins all season. The club are expected to be stronger this term stating the aim is a minimum of a top half finish.
How did the Addicks fare against them last season?
Last season Charlton Athletic Women were able to secure the double over Crystal Palace with a 2-1 victory at home, and a 4-1 victory away at Selhurst Park.
